Online Learning: Accessible from anywhere with an internet connection, our online component consists of 20 minutes worth of engaging modules covering essential first aid topics. Participants have the flexibility to progress through the material at their own pace, fitting study time around their existing commitments.

Practical Skills Sessions: Reinforce online learning with two hours in-person practical skills session led by experienced instructors. These sessions provide valuable hands-on practice in first aid techniques such as CPR, recovery postion and how to effectively apply and operate an AED (defibrillator) ensuring participants are confident and competent in real-life situations.

Multiple Public Classes: With multiple public classes scheduled each week, participants have the flexibility to choose sessions that best fit their schedule. Whether you're a student, working professional, or parent, finding a class that suits your availability is convenient and hassle-free.

Requirements for Completion
Participants are required to attend 100% of this CPR training and successfully demonstrate competence in all assessment activities.

Entry Requirements
There are no pre-requisites for this course; however, it is recommended that participants have sufficient English language and visual interpretation skills to successfully complete the CPR training.
Participants will also be required to undertake practical training and assessments at floor level. This includes demonstrating CPR on a manikin for a period of two minutes. If you have poor mobility or a current injury, please discuss this with us prior to booking.
Participants under the age of 18 are required to provide a consent form completed by their legal guardian.
Minimum Age
Due to the adult learning environment, we do not recommend registration of participants under of the age of 14 however, if required, you may discuss this directly with your trainer.
Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) Requirements
Participants will require suitable LLN skills to complete the following tasks/skills:
Read information from a PowerPoint and whiteboard
Listen and understand verbal information delivered by an English-speaking trainer
Read and answer a multiple-choice question paper
Read and answer a short-written answer test
Listen to instructions of an Automated External Defibrillator where prompts are delivered in
English
Be able to count to 30
Certification Issued
Statement of Attainment in the following units of competency:
HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
Certification Validity
One (1) year from date of issue.
You are required to undertake annual CPR refresher training.
