🧐Why do you need more than a snake bite bandage in Australia? Because nearly everything can bite and sting here. I appreciate the many seasoned Aussies who have their own tricks and tips for ticks and leeches, and the myriad of other things that can bite and sting you here. I have heard it all. 🔥Burn ticks with a match, 🧂salt leeches, use nicotene patches or 🥂drink urine for snake bite, asthma pumps on mozzies. The list goes on, and it gets more disturbing. So my point is, do what you want to yourselves! (Don't make my kid drink urine! if you are in a position of care/support) But what you do, and what you can put on the paperwork at work ( and be legally protected) is where things change. That is why I designed and built this kit-to cover all the things big and small. I also appreciate that many of you will be completely fine and soldier on with no treatment. My daughter has become an overnight emergency carer. ❤️ Now... I have been a first aid trainer for 18 years. But when Daryan asked me.."what do I feed a 10 month old"..I literally could not remember. So here is a vital life skill lesson on how to dress a cut finger...its truly captivating, with a little treat at the end..On a real note... these dressings are actually good for finger tip injuries, cracked skin, cuts and burns . Fingertips have tonnes of nerves, so even a tiny injury can be super painful and distracting, especially if you are on the tools. They stay put and let you get on with things while you are at work. #toxic #firstaid

The water should be tested first, to see if the patient can tolerate. We always call 000 in Australia, if we have severe sypmtoms, like difficulty breathing, loss of consciousness and anaphylactic reactions. A great way to keep hot water available is to keep a 2l water bottle, filled, on the dash of your car. It will get pretty warm on a Aussie summer day, and be perfect for treating fish stings. These are notoriously painful. Final tip. Rememeber that kids with neurodivergence will potentially have amplified responses that need extra patience and understanding.
